1985 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red; barely a sign of development. Floral, cedary aromas of crystallized berries (raspberry, cassis, mulberry) and graphite; extremely youthful. Thick, large-scaled and very strong in extract; layered and deep. Strong but harmonious acidity gives the wine a vibrant character. Conveys a sense of totally expressed soil. Finishes with substantial ripe tannins and superb sweetness. From a rather low-alcohol year with high natural acidity and lower-than-average yield. 93+ (ST)" (07/1998)

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (96WS, 95RP, 95ST, 94JG, 94JS). Wine Spectator: "Delivers so much blackberry, leather and dried fruits on the nose. Full-bodied, with ultrapolished tannins and a silky mouthfeel. The palate turns to leaves, cedar and dried berries on the finish, which goes on and on. This is still reserved for the vintage, suggesting a long life ahead. Just coming around now, but will improve many years ahead. I have always loved this Lynch. (JS, Web-2010)"

1990 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo) Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo) Brunello di Montalcino. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Biondi-Santi is a renowned name across the world, yet it remains an anachronistic wine, at odds with the vogue for rich, fruit-laden Brunellos that are lavished in new oak. Since the 19th century, the estate's raison d'être has been to fashion long-lasting wines, built to age over a century."

Bid on this magnum lot of 2007 Marc Colin & Fils Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) (93BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " Almost invisible SO2. Discreet wood toast highlights an elegant, pure and relatively refined nose of primarily floral, white peach, pear and subtle spice hints that are also reflected by the round, rich and quite generous big-bodied flavors that possess ample dry extract. It's impressive how this wine manages to retain its fine sense of focus and precision given the palate staining finish. A very fine effort. " (07/2009)

1985 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Much younger than the three previous vintages of Spottswoode with much more acidity showing through (a characteristic of this vintage). Dark ruby with more purple in the color, a nice layered attack with licorice, cedar wood, tobacco leaf and black and red currants, the wine has terrific aromatics and is by far the most perfumed of the first four vintages. There is a slight abruptness in the finish, no doubt caused by the noticeable acid. This was an identical blend to the 1984, with 4% Cabernet Franc with a balance of Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine still has some upside, but seems largely at its peak of deliciousness where it should stay for another 15 or so years. (RP)" (08/2016)

2012 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "(Note from 2013 review, re-reviewed with no new note in 2014) "A wine that stood out for its complexity and intensity was the 2012 Chardonnay CIX Estate. Planted with the Reuling clone of Chardonnay, this vineyard is situated next to the vineyard from which Mark Aubert makes the Lauren Chardonnay. There are only 600 cases of this prodigious wine. The vines were planted in 2007, so this is only the fifth leaf, but, wow, what a Chardonnay. Copious notes of pineapple, mango, and guava along with wet stone, caramelized citrus, tangerine, and orange marmalade characteristics are followed by a wine with a full-bodied mouthfeel as well as remarkable purity, texture, and intensity. 2004 Kalleske " Johann Georg" Old Vine Shiraz Barossa Valley
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Kalleske " Johann Georg" Old Vine Shiraz Barossa Valley (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Kalleske’s top wine is the 150-case cuvee of Shiraz Johann Georg Old Vine from a 129-year-old vineyard. Named after the first Kalleske, a native of Silesia who immigrated to Australia in 1838, it offers just about everything one could want in a Barossa Valley Shiraz. Aged two years in new French and American 300 liter hogsheads, and produced from yields of one ton of fruit per acre, this cuvee is extraordinarily consistent in 2004 and 2005. In fact, it’s hard to choose a favorite. This wine exhibits great intensity, an inky/purple color, and notes of creosote, camphor, blackberries, cassis, and subtle vanillin/pain grille notes. Unbelievably unctuous and full-bodied, with stunning concentration, thrilling purity, and amazing length as well as richness, it should evolve gracefully for 15+ years. (RP)" (10/2006)

1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94JS, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Dominus, a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot, tips the scales at 14.2% alcohol. Although this offering lacks the power, intensity, and compelling characteristics of the 1991 and 1994, it is not far off the pace of those two monumental wines. A super nose of roasted coffee, chocolate, dried herbs, black fruits and kirsch is both intense and persuasive. The wine displays terrific richness, medium to full body, low acidity, a succulent, opulent texture, and superb purity. This beautifully made 1996 is one of the few wines that has successfully tamed the vintage's elevated tannin level. It should be relatively drinkable upon its release, yet evolve nicely for two decades. Impressive! (RP)" (12/1998)

2007 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (97WE, 91VN). Wine Enthusiast: "This very dense, tannic Pinot Noir represents a triumph for both the winery, the vintage and the region it represents. A multi-clone blend (hence the name) with high, cool-climate acidity and aged in 100% new oak, it’s still young, fresh and tight. The astringency throws a cloak over the raspberries, cherries, rosehip tea and Indian spice flavors, which reveal themselves only reluctantly. But they’re there, in an imposing texture of velvet and silk. This enormous wine demands time. *Best of 2010. Cellar Selection* " (03/2010)

1998 Dalla Valle "PNV 2000 Lot 65" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Dalla Valle "PNV 2000 Lot 65" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon . According to the producer's website: "Dalla Valle Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery that was founded in 1986. The winery and vineyards are located on a plateau 400 feet above the valley floor, in the eastern hills of Oakville, Napa Valley. The combination of perfect sun exposure and the cooling marine influence from the Pacific Ocean make this an ideal site for world class winegrowing. Dalla Valle has reached an admirable level of acceptance in the last decade and produces some of the most sought out Cabernet Sauvignon and proprietary red wine in California. Wines made from Dalla Valle Vineyards are pure unbridled expressions of fruit at its most powerful and concentrated. 2001 Cerbaiona Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Cerbaiona Brunello di Montalcino (96RP, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What a joy it is to taste Molinari’s 2001 Brunello di Montalcino. A dark, translucent ruby, it opens with a profound, deeply expressive nose followed by notes of licorice, tar, black cherries and smoke that take on new dimensions of complexity as this great wine sits in the glass. Deceptively medium in body, it shows plenty of vibrant fruit, structure and fine, noble tannins which insure it will still be a magical wine in 15 years and likely beyond. This Brunello has been nothing short of stunning on the two occasions I’ve tasted it so far and it is undoubtedly one of the vintage’s unqualified successes. It is highly recommended. Recent bottles of the 1999 and 1990 have also been immensely enjoyable. (AG)" (12/2006)

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Maume Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Lavaux St-Jacques" (91BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is quite reserved with only grudging hints of red berries, damp earth and subtle spice that introduce pure, racy and detailed middle weight flavors that display the classic mineral-inflected character of a fine Lavaut plus a superbly elegant and fine finish. This is really beautiful juice of grand cru caliber elegance and finesse. In short, I very much like the purity and style this offers. *Outstanding*" (01/2005)

This doesn't have the sleek muscularity and tension of the Bonnes Mares but if anything, there is arguably even better material here crafted in an old school style. 1990 Chasse-Spleen, Moulis
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1990 Chasse-Spleen, Moulis ((91-93RP), 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A superb Chasse-Spleen. A similar hue to the Lafon-Rochet but with a wider brick red rim. The palate is more floral and feminine with good complexity: cedar, forest floor, earth - all quite lifted and perfumed from the ripe Merlot. The palate is smooth, with well-knit tannins, good acidity, though with a touch of excess alcohol that lends the wine some bitterness. But after time in the glass, it harmonizes and becomes more cohesive. Cedar and tobacco on the finish. Very focused. This is a fine 1990. (NM)" (12/1999)

Light on its feet despite its stunning concentration and multi-layered mouthfeel, this wine has fabulous intensity, richness and length. Quite impressive, and still incredibly youthful, this is a superstar of the vintage, and capable of lasting another 25-30 years. (RP)" (06/2015)

2010 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan (100RP, 96JS, 95WE, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I certainly underrated the 2010 Pape Clement from barrel, rating it only 93-95+. (Thank God I put a 'plus' there!) Having tasted it four times in Bordeaux, and rating it perfect three times and 99 the fourth time, this final blend of 51% Merlot, 47.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1.5% Petit Verdot is perfection in a bottle. Tipping the scales at 14.5% natural alcohol, there are 8,000 cases of it. Its sublime elegance, the power, the medium to full-bodied texture, the silky tannins, the subtle notes of smoke, lead pencil shavings, black currants, charcoal, camphor, blueberry and cassis fruit are all remarkable. It is a rich, full-throttle wine, but the elegance and the great terroir of Pape Clement come through in abundance. It is slightly more developed and evolved than the 2005 was at a similar point in its evolution, but it certainly needs another 5-7 years to develop f

2001 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (375ml)
Bid on this half-bottle lot of 2001 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (375ml) (96JD, 96JS, 96RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beaucastel has been on a terrific qualitative roll over the last four vintages... This inky/ruby/purple-colored cuvee offers a classic Beaucastel bouquet of new saddle leather, cigar smoke, roasted herbs, black truffles, underbrush, and blackberry as well as cherry fruit. It is a superb, earthy expression of this Mourvedre-dominated cuvee. Full-bodied and powerful, it will undoubtedly close down over the next several years, not to re-emerge for 7-8 years. 1996 Hubert Lignier Clos de la Roche Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Hubert Lignier Clos de la Roche Grand Cru ((94-96RP), 95ST, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine is dark ruby-colored and offers a nose of extraordinary purity, depth and richness. Scents of gravel, earth, violets, perfume, jammy blueberries, cassis liqueur, black cherries, and hints of road tar are followed by a velvety-textured, full-bodied, and magnificently concentrated wine. Candied cherries, stones, rosemary, spicy oak, Asian spices, and hints of chocolate can be found in this blockbuster's powerful yet graceful flavor profile and substantial finish. Armed with virtually perfect balance and harmony, an amazing depth of fruit, and copious quantities of seamless, satin-textured tannins, this marvel should prove to be one of the vintage's most ageworthy wines. Projected maturity: 2005-2018. (PR)" (08/1998)

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Domaine Comte Armand Pommard 1er Cru "Clos des Epeneaux" (97WS, 92BH, 92ST). Wine Spectator: " A deep wine--one where you have to put your nose far into the glass to capture the subtleties. The black fruit, game, mineral and currant notes fill the palate, proving how dense and thick this '96 red Burgundy is. A brilliant Pommard. *Top 100 Wines of 1999* (PM)" (09/1999)

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Domaine Hubert Lignier Clos des La Roche Grand Cru (94RP, 94VN, 93WS, 92ST, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The saturated, medium-to-dark ruby-colored 1997 Clos de la Roche has intensely spicy, candle wax, and blackberry aromas. This full-bodied and broad wine is opulently-textured and filled with sweet plummy red fruits, jammy candied cherries, as well as hints of hoisin sauce. 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Grenache (97RP, 97VN, (93-95ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Grenache Dark Blossom is probably the best Grenache-based blend in the vintage. A blend of 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre and a splash of Roussanne (fermented with 11% whole clusters), it has a perfumed, complex style, with notions of black raspberry, cassis, dried flowers, white pepper and licorice giving way to a full-bodied, layered and seamless mouthfeel. There’s no shortage of fruit here, and while it’s hard to resist now, it has enough tannin to warrant short-term cellaring. It should knock it out of the park through 2029. (JD)" (08/2014)

Of the 2015 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: " ... They are inky black/purple and seemingly low in acidity, but according to Thomas Rivers Brown the acids were quite sound and healthy. The tannins are present, but so well-disguised by the high levels of glycerin and sucrosity that they are not that noticeable. Several of these wines, including the Schrader, CCS, T6 and LPV have the potential for perfect scores. These will be thrilling to taste next year and will continue the incredible legacy that Schrader Cellars has developed over the years. (RP)" (10/2016)

2002 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2002 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97WE, 97WS) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In contrast to the more linear, structured, but massive 2001, the 2002 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is pure fruit-bomb material, but stunningly proportioned, beautifully pure, with notes of melted chocolate, blackcurrant jam, sweet black cherries, licorice, camphor and charcoal. Very full-bodied, like the 2001, but much more lavishly fruited, it is more accessible and hedonistically, as well as intellectually, satisfying. If the 2001 is the long-distance runner, this comes across more like a middle-distancer. It had performed fabulously well since it was released by the winery, and even though it’s still an adolescent in terms of its evolution, this wine is a head-turner in wine tastings, and a spectacular effort from Napa. Drink now or drink in 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2014)

2007 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sensational 2007 Proprietary Red Wine (a 7,000-case blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec) is slightly more restrained aromatically than the Merlot, but there is no doubting its extraordinary bouquet of subtle smoked meats, oak, mountain wild flowers, blueberries, blackberries, coffee, and cassis. Super-rich and full-bodied with noticeable, but stunningly sweet tannins, it possesses a rare minerality and definition, characteristics that seem to be found across the board in Napa’s 2007s. This dense, powerful red needs 3-5 years of cellaring, and should have 25 years of life ahead of it. 96+ (RP)" (12/2009)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2009 Jonata "El Desafio de Jonata" Santa Ynez Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Up there with the 2007 and shockingly good, the 2009 El Desafio de Jonata has awesome notes of smoke, cigar, chocolate, spice and dark fruit literally soaring from the glass. Massive and powerful, with no hard edges and serious tannin, this rocking Cabernet Sauvignon needs another 3-4 years of bottle age and will live well past its 20th birthday. Drink 2016-2029. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (93VN, 92RP). Vinous: "Saturated bright ruby color. Liqueur-like aromas of black cherry, raspberry and mocha; high-toned in a positive way. A sweet, powerful fruit bomb on the palate, with perfectly integrated acidity giving shape and grip to the dark berry and cherry flavors. Firm underlying minerality contributes to the wine's very fresh impression. Finishes with terrific aromatic persistence. (ST)" (05/2008)

2000 Krug Brut Champagne
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Krug Brut Champagne (98JS, 97W&S, 97WS, 95RP, 95ST, 95VN). James Suckling: "Very fragrant. This has developed bright, ripe red cherry fruit aromas, vanilla cream, sweet roasted almond biscuits, some marzipan, tobacco, lemon meringue and chalky minerals. The palate has an assertive core of fine acidity with more yellow fruits expressed on entry, like peaches and nectarines. Good ripeness, superfine acidity. The redder fruits build as it goes; cherries and raspberries, yellow plums to close. Full of life. Drink now or up to 20 years, it will go the distance." (07/2015)

2009 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Bouchères"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Bouchères" (94RP, 93BH, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Meursault Boucheres emerges from the glass with lime, bright citrus, white flowers and crushed rocks. It shows gorgeous inner tension, expressive perfume and a long, impeccable silky finish. Bright floral notes add lift on the finish. This could probably use another few years in bottle. This is a very steep slope that passes very quickly from being ripe to over-ripe, so the harvest date is critical. Jean-Marc Roulot is one of the most thoughtful, introspective growers in Burgundy, so it is hardly a surprise his 2009s are so sublime. (AG)" (09/2011)
